Phusion® Flash High-Fidelity PCR Master Mix

2x Master Mix developed especially for High Performance PCR: fast, high-fidelity PCR with excellent yields.

Note: Starting May 2010 the Phusion Flash DNA polymerase in the kit is replaced with the new Thermo Scientific Phusion Flash II DNA Polymerase. The new polymerase allows more flexibility to primer design. No changes are needed to excisting protocols or primers.

Description

Phusion® Flash High-Fidelity PCR Master Mix is a 2x master mix enabling the use of extremely short PCR protocols without compromising either the fidelity or the yield in the reaction. The master mix utilizes Phusion Flash II DNA Polymerase, a proofreading DNA polymerase modified from Phusion Hot Start II High-Fidelity DNA Polymerase.

The error rate when using Phusion Flash PCR Master Mix is 9.5 x 10-7, i.e. the fidelity of the Phusion Flash II DNA Polymerase is 25 x Taq.

Extreme speed and high yields

Phusion Flash PCR Master Mix was developed to save valuable laboratory time. Ready-to-use master mix minimizes required pipetting steps: Only template and primers need to be added by the user. In addition, the unique composition of the master mix enables the use of extremely short cycling protocols with both low and high complexity DNA templates - 15 seconds per kilobase or less.
