Piko® Thermal Cycler is licensed under U.S. patent Nos. 5,552,580 and 5,496,517 and their foreign counterparts.
Notice: Purchase of Piko® Thermal Cycler conveys a limited, non-transferable immunity from suit for the purchaser's own internal research and development and applied fields other than human in vitro diagnostics under one or more of Canadian Patent 1,339,653, U.S. Patent 5,475,610 (claims 160-163 only) or corresponding claims in their non-U.S. counterparts owned by Applied Biosystems. No right is conveyed expressly, by implication or by estoppel under any other patent claim, including under U.S. Patent No. 6,814,934 or any global equivalent thereof, which claims thermal cycler apparatus and systems capable of real-time detection. Licences - reagents
A license to perform the patented 5’ Nuclease Process for research is obtained by the purchase of (i) both Authorized 5' Nuclease Core Kit and Licensed Probe, (ii) a Licensed 5’ Nuclease Kit, or (iii) license rights from Applied Biosystems.
DyNAmo™ Probe qPCR Kits are Authorized 5' Nuclease Core Kits. Use of DyNAmo™ Probe qPCR Kits is covered by US Patent 6,127,155 and patent claims of unexpired non-US counterparts, if any, of US Patents Nos. 5,210,015, 5,487,971 and 6,127,155 . The purchase of DyNAmo™ Probe qPCR Kits includes a limited, non-transferable immunity from suit under the foregoing patent claims for using only this amount of product for the purchaser's own internal research. Separate purchase of a Licensed Probe would convey rights under the applicable claims of US Patents Nos. 5,538,848, 5,723,591, 5,876,930, 6,030,787, 6,258,569, 5,804,375 (claims 1-12 only), and corresponding claims outside the United States. No right under any other patent claim and no right to perform commercial services of any kind, including without limitation reporting the results of purchaser's activities for a fee or other commercial consideration, is conveyed expressly, by implication, or by estoppel. DyNAmo™ Probe qPCR Kits are for research use only. Diagnostic uses under Roche patents require a separate license from Roche. Use of DyNAmo™ Probe qPCR Kits may also require licenses from other third parties such as, but not limited to, the owners of Displacing probes and Molecular beacons. Purchase of DyNAmo Probe qPCR Kits does not provide such licenses and further information on purchasing licenses to practice this technology must be obtained from the appropriate intellectual property owners of such technology.
Use of DyNAmo™ SYBR® Green qPCR Kits is covered by one or more of the following US patents and corresponding patent claims outside the US: 6,127,155, 5,994,056 and 6,171,785. The purchase of DyNAmo™ SYBR® Green qPCR Kits includes a limited, non-transferable immunity from suit under the foregoing patent claims for using only this amount of product for the purchaser's own internal research. No right under any other patent claim (such as apparatus or system claims in US Patent No. 6,814,934) and no right to perform commercial services of any kind, including without limitation reporting the results of purchaser's activities for a fee or other commercial consideration, is conveyed expressly, by implication, or by estoppel. DyNAmo™ SYBR® Green qPCR Kits are for research use only. Diagnostic uses under Roche patents require a separate license from Roche. DyNAmo™ SYBR® Green qPCR Kits are provided under an agreement between Molecular Probes, Inc. and Finnzymes Oy and the manufacture, use, sale or import of DyNAmo™ SYBR® Green qPCR Kits is subject to one or more US Patents and corresponding international equivalents, owned by Molecular Probes, a wholly owned subsidiary of Invitrogen Corp. The purchase of DyNAmo™ SYBR® Green qPCR Kits conveys to the buyer the non-transferable right to use the purchased amount of the product and components of the product for real-time PCR conducted by the buyer, for use in research and development. The buyer cannot sell or otherwise transfer (a) this product (b) its components or (c) materials made using this product or its components to a third party, whether or not such product or its components are resold for use in research and development, shall not use this product or its components or materials made using this product or its components for therapeutic or prophylactic purposes. The purchase price of this product includes a limited, non-transferable license under U.S. and foreign patents owned by BIO-RAD Laboratories, Inc., to use this product. No other license under these patents is conveyed expressly or by implication to the purchaser by the purchase of this product.
Phire® Hot Start DNA Polymerase is licensed under US Patent 5,436,149 owned by TaKaRa Shuzo Co. Ltd.
Phire® Hot Start DNA Polymerase and Phusion® DNA Polymerases utilizing hot start technology are sold under license from Affibody AB, Sweden.

The purchase price of this product includes a limited, non-transferable license under U.S. and foreign patents (5,500,363 and 5,352,778) owned by New England Biolabs, Inc. to use this product. The purchase price of this product includes a limited, non-transferable license under U.S. and foreign patents owned by BIO-RAD Laboratories, Inc., to use this product. No other license under these patents is conveyed expressly or by implication to the purchaser by the purchase of this product.
